Teachers' Day

05th September 2013 - Teachers' Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and energy. Students of class VIII to XII took charge of the day in organising a fabulous programme especially for the teachers.

Teachers will be attending the programme in Garden City College on account of Teachers' Day, where our Chairman Sir will be felicitating the teacher freternity who have completed 10 years of teaching experience in Deva Matha Central School.

CBSE is an eminent board preparing the syllabus for class 9 to 12 schools affiliated with it. Besides schools run by the Government, there are many private schools affiliated to CBSE.

The CBSE curriculum relates to ‘Learning by Doing’. This syllabus makes it convenient for the students to opt for Pure Science, Medicine, Engineering and IIT. Besides, most successful students of competitive examinations, IITJEE, KVPY, Science Olympiads, Mathematics Olympiads are nurtured by CBSE.

Its motto when translated from Sanskrit is – ‘Oh God! Lead us from untruth towards truth.”


DMCS is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (CBSE). The school follows the Ten plus Two (10+2) Pattern of Higher Secondary Education Scheme of CBSE.
The students are examined in the following subjects for their CBSE examinations.

CBSE Objectives 

The Central Board of Secondary Education was set up to achieve certain interlinked objectives:

  • To prescribe conditions of examinations and conduct public examination at the end of Class X and XII. To grant qualifying certificates to successful candidates of the affiliated schools.
  • To fulfill educational requirements of the students whose parents are employed in transferable jobs.
  • To prescribe and update the course of instructions of examinations
  • To affiliate institutions for the purpose of examination and raise the academic standards of the country.

The prime focus of the Board is on

  • Innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by devising student friendly and student centered paradigms.
  • Reforms in examinations and evaluation practices.
  • Skill learning by adding job-oriented and job-linked inputs.
  • Regularly updating the pedagogical skills of the teachers and administrators by conducting service training programmes, workshops etc.


Academically, a below average student is carefully trained in Remedial Classes- to help him/her overcome the inhibitions and queries.

Each day, one subject is conducted after school hours, for 45 mins. This is voluntarily organised by the school and no extra fee is charged for these classes.


      • DMCS is one of the few top CBSE schools in Bangalore to achieve 100% pass percentage for many consecutive years.

      • DMCS provides clean, safe and hygienic food in its canteen.

      • DMCS is one of the first schools in Bangalore to initiate Organic Farming, wherein students are given responsibility to take care of the farming portion allocated to their class.

      • DMCS has one of the highest number of co-curricular activities in an academic year across India.

      • DMCS conducts one of the biggest campus, Annual Celebrations in India –Gardenia Junior.

      • DMCS conducts the biggest Football competition for schools across Bangalore called the Kickers Cup Tournament.

  • School Events

    SCHOOL celebrated the following National and International days with great enthusiasm and heartiness.

    Importance of each day was mentioned in the assembly and various activities were organized to emphasis the importance.

    Teachers and students scheduled the plan of action for each day well in advance and executed it successfully.

    We had various Guests visiting the school to grace the occasion on different days. All were honored with memento on behalf of our Chairman - Dr. Joseph V G, who always believe that education is beyond just book knowledge.
